A Step by Step Guide to Mass Breeding
Before we get into the whole guide. Let's talk about what Mass breeding is. Mass breeding is when you take several (5+) lionesses and breed to the same king. This can be for mutation, base, or even certain markings. There are lots of ways to do mass breeding, but this clan is focused on doing breeding projects using items. These items are Lion Meat, GMO Cows and Cotton Root Barks. When doing these types of projects it is wise to understand the ins and outs of the items. Lots of players will do Cotton Root Bark projects and do them in batches. You will see batches as small as 5 lionesses and as big as 50+. I, Shadow, personally do batches of 51 lionesses on my side account. This is due to how much territory I have on that account.
What are the steps?
1.1 You will want to make sure that you have Cotton Root Barks, GMO Cows or Lion Meats saved up for the project.
1.2 I normally purchase the Cotton Root Barks around the time I plan to do the batch.
2. You will want to make sure that you have the number of lionesses you want and that they are in heat. If you are Dreamboat, go and claim the lionesses. If you prefer, you can always find In Heat Newly Claimed Lionesses in the trade center. Making sure to keep an eye on their fertility is also always a good idea. Fertility matters because you can get mutations from them but it is also what delegates how many tries it takes to get the lioness pregnant. Very Low Fertility almost always requires more than 1 or two tries, but on rare occasions they can fall pregnant after 1 try.
3. I always breed to my king. As that way I don't have to pay and waste stud fees to just Cotton Root Bark the lioness right after. Yes, this can lose out on some nice cubs born to your king but this is the part where you must decide exactly what you want to do. Do you want to stud to outside kings or use your own, then Cotton Root Bark?
4.1, I always Cotton Root Bark my lionesses on the same day. That way all cubs are born on the same day.
4.2 After using the cotton root bark, if I have any GMO Cows or Lion Meats, I use them at this time. That way I get more chances for mutations being born.
5. Time to wait for the cubs to be born. I make sure that during this time I am collecting the SB needed for the next few steps.
6. Cubs are born. Yay! Well, now it is time to go through each one. Name the ones with mutations that are shown. After that, I go to the Falcon's Eye. This can be found by going to these locations. 1. Crossroads. 2. Scrying Stone. 3. Falcon's Eye. What do we do here? Well this is where you will spend 60 SB to check the cubs for a hidden Mutation, also known as AMP (Adult Mutation Present). This is where the fifth step comes in. Depending on how many cubs you had born and how many didn't have a shown mutation, will depend on how much SB you will spend now. (When I do this my lowest amount needed is 3,060 SB and max amount needed is 12,240 SB. This is due to the fact that 1 cub is the lowest (I do 51 at a time) and 4 cubs at max.)
7. Now is the time to go back through all the cubs and make sure you have all the AMP's named. That way you know who has a hidden mutation and who doesn't.
8. You have finished your first batch of CRB lionesses. Congrats! You can now keep track of what mutations you have had. Either in a forum topic, your own discord server, a google docs, or you can write it down.
